Coach is a flight training app. This page says, plainly, what we collect, why we collect it, and what we don't do with it. If a legal document someday needs to say the same thing with more formality, it will still say the same thing — nothing here is a placeholder for a different truth later.

01What we collect

Depending on how you use Coach, we collect:

• Account information. An email address and, if you set one up, sign-in credentials — or, if you use Sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier those services provide us. We don't see or store your Apple or Google password.
• Flight and lesson data. The core of what Coach does — recorded flight tracks, control inputs, ATC clearances issued, and the resulting grading (heading/altitude/speed capture, hold-entry accuracy, and similar) from lessons and sessions you fly. This is what makes progress tracking and debriefs possible.
• Device and diagnostic information. Basic technical data (app version, OS version, crash reports) used to find and fix bugs.
• Usage information. Which features and lessons get used, so we know what to build next and what's confusing or broken.
• Subscription/purchase status. If you buy a subscription through the App Store, Apple tells us your entitlement status so paid features work across your devices. We don't receive your payment card details — Apple handles that directly.

02Why we collect it

• To run the app: authenticate you, sync your progress across devices, and grade your flights.
• To improve the app: understand what's working, what's breaking, and what to build next.
• To support you: if you contact us with a problem, your flight and account data helps us actually diagnose it instead of guessing.

03What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
• We don't share your data with advertisers or ad networks.
• We don't run third-party ad trackers or ad SDKs in the app.
• We don't use your flight data to train third-party AI models for someone else's benefit — if that ever changes, we'll say so clearly, in advance, not bury it in an update.

04Who we share data with

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run Coach — cloud hosting and storage, and (for account sign-in) Apple and Google when you choose those sign-in methods. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments; they don't get to use your data for their own purposes. We don't share flight or account data with anyone else, and we don't share it with an instructor or school unless you explicitly connect your account to them.

05How long we keep it

We keep your account and flight data for as long as your account is active, so your progress and history stay intact. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and flight history within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (for example, purchase records) for legal or accounting reasons.

06Your choices

• Coach requires a free account to use the app at all, but never a subscription — you can fly real lessons without ever paying.
• You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
• If you connect your account to an instructor, you control which flights get shared with them.

07Children

Coach isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. Student pilots are often teenagers under supervision at a flight school — if you believe a minor has an account without appropriate consent, contact us and we'll address it.

08Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and make a reasonable effort to let you know in the app — not just quietly edit this page.
